Will Callie be able to overcome her sadness and give love another chance? Cassidy's (The Christmas Wager) new holiday romance is a fun and gently steamy romance full of holiday tropes and second chances. Narrator Amy Hall offers an engaging portrait of Callie, capturing her transformation from heartbroken to full of holiday cheer. She ably conveys the novel's joyful ambiance, setting the stage for laughs and romance. Hall perfectly times the puns and banter between Callie and Marco while communicating the characters' heartbreak and hesitancy as they embrace love again. The Christmas activity Advent calendar is entertaining, providing lots of laughs and getting listeners in the holiday spirit. Cassidy herself reads the author's note.
