2012 Christy Award finalist, Contemporary romance category.
Unknown to her tiny town of Deep Haven, Isadora Presley spends her nights as Miss Foolish Heart, the star host of a syndicated talk radio show. Millions tune in to hear her advice on dating and falling in love, unaware that she's never really done either. Issy's ratings soar when it seems she's falling in love on-air with a caller. A caller she doesn't realize lives right next door.
Caleb Knight served a tour of duty in Iraq and paid a steep price. The last thing he wants is pity, so he hides his disability and moves to Deep Haven to land his dream job as the high school football coach. When his beautiful neighbor catches his eye, in a moment of desperation he seeks advice from My Foolish Heart, the show that airs before his favorite sports broadcast.
Before he knows it, Caleb finds himself drawn to the host—and more confused than ever. Is his perfect love the woman on the radio . . . Or the one next door?

Warren, a former missionary to Russia and the author of 30 novels, offers a lighthearted, punchy story about two wounded souls who find love and a new lease on life over radio airwaves. Isadora Presley is Miss Foolish Heart, a radio talk show host, by night, and no one but her closest friend and producer knows it. Scarred emotionally by seeing her mother die in a car accident, Issy has panic attacks whenever she contemplates stepping outside the bounds of her yard. When Caleb Knight moves next door, Issy is cautiously curious and soon begins to fall for her handsome neighbor. Caleb has his own inner demons to fight after a harrowing stint in Iraq. Coming between these two characters is Miss Foolish Heart herself. Warren's novel nicely balances the funny and realistic.

Isadora Presley has never dated or fallen in love. That doesn't stop her from making a living as Miss Foolish Heart, the host of a syndicated talk show. Caleb Knight is Deep Haven's new high school football coach. When he becomes attracted to his next-door neighbor, he turns to Miss Foolish Heart for advice. Little does he know that the woman giving him advice is the very object of his affection. VERDICT This warm and charming tale is sure to be welcomed by those who enjoyed the first three series titles (Happily Ever After; Tying the Knot; The Perfect Match). Recommend it to fans of Judy Baer and Deborah Vogts.

Miss Foolish Heart, a nationally syndicated talk-show radio host, is actually agoraphobic Isadora Issy Presley, who hasnt left home in two years. Caleb Knight, Deep Havens new football coach, has his own issues after being injured in Iraq. Issys best friend Lucy struggles to keep the family donut shop open, while Seb Brewster, the teams championship quarterback from several years ago, who broke Lucys heart, is back and in competition with Caleb for the coachs position. Warrens charming northern Minnesota contemporary inspirational romance has it all: the boy next door and the princess isolated in her tower, past histories and new beginnings, poignancy nicely blended with hopefulness, and troubled, everyday people doing their best to live according to their faith.(Reprinted with permission of Booklist, copyright 2011, American Library Association.)
